Don't believe the bull. That should be South Florida's motto this week, as it prepares for a potential trap game Saturday against Florida Atlantic (ESPNU, 3:30 ET).

That's not to say anything South Florida (4-0) has accomplished thus far is deceiving. It is one of only three teams (Cal, LSU) to have beaten two ranked opponents this season. The Bulls jumped 12 spots to No. 6 in the Associated Press Top 25 after whipping West Virginia for the second consecutive year, and they might make another leap this weekend, seeing as No. 5 Wisconsin plays at rapidly-improving Illinois while No. 4 Ohio State plays at No. 23 Purdue.

There is no denying the Bulls are really good, particularly on defense. They wreak havoc with a relentless front four -- ends Jarriett Buie and George Selvie rank with any pair in the country -- that allows the back seven to read and react. Very quickly. Middle linebacker Ben Moffitt is a solid NFL prospect, and Mel Kiper Jr. pegs senior Mike Jenkins as the top cornerback for next year's NFL draft. Jenkins' partner, senior Trae Williams, should keep his Sundays open in the near future, too.

Anyone else enjoy how every time we play an unranked team now, its a "trap" game?

Yup.... and I LOVE it.

Any time a highly ranked team plays an unranked team, it's trap game.  The ranked team is supposed to win.
