Cincy worries me more than UL.  Cincy looks nasty, and could easily be #3 in terms of our hardest opponents.  Anyone putting below #4 is probably underestimating them.  Yes, it's a revenge game at home, but look at the perception even you guys have.

Cincy hasn't just been winning...they've been having BENCH CLEARING BLOWOUTS.  Unlike UL, they've shown some D.  We'll be favored and we should be, but that is a dangerous game.

Since we have already played Auburn I am putting them where I think they will rate at the end of the season.

1.  WVU - they have the best offense and defense of the teams on our schedule.

2.  AUBURN - SEC big boy who gave us as much as we were able to handle on the road.

3.  CINCY - They scare me at this point in time.  They have been really turning up the afterburners.

4.  RUTGERS - Only because we are playing them at their house.

5.  UL - They have yet to beat us at RayJay, but we have to do what we did at UL and shut down the dynamic duo of White/Slaton.

6.  PITT - Away and the weather may be a factor.

7.  FAU - They have shown improvement and showed it against their last opponent.

8.  UCF - They showed a lot of heart against Texas and could give us a hard time.

9.  UNC - I don't see them being able to get through our D.

10. CONN - Again, it is an away game, which means we have to really manage our game.

11. ELON - They really made a believer of me.  The played way above their division at our house.

12. CUSE - I really feel sorry for them, I think they will put up less points against us than Elon did.

I've been very impressed with Cincinnati's offense and defense.  That will be a tough game.

See this is where you and I differ. While they look good in their games on paper, I am not sold on Cincy just yet. They haven't played anyone to give them a real challenge yet. After a conference game (against WV, Louisville, Rutgers or us) or a team with at least an average/good offense or defense then I'll assess them. Until then, I'm just keeping my eye on them and seeing what happens.

I'm not the only one who thinks Cincinnati looks pretty good right now.

Cincinnati (35). Victories over: Southeast Missouri State, Oregon State, Miami (Ohio). Sagarin rank: 6th. Buy or sell: Buy. The Bearcats have flat-out murdered three teams in a row under new coach Brian Kelly, taking the ball away an astonishing 17 times and leading the nation in turnover margin. They should move to 5-0 going into Big East play -- the question is how they do when the turnovers stop coming.

I like this thread. Our schedule is really undderated.

WVU is a lot better team then Auburn and is very motivated. Peope I know at WVU claim they are bringing 20k fans. It will be by far the toughest game we play.

We match up very well with Louisville. We have great DB's and pass ruch.

UCF is better than UNC and they will be motivated.

UNC is a trap game, and their pass offense is dangerous.

Pitt is a lot better also.

Cincinattis is very very very good. They can do everything, have depth, and the second best defense in the conference.

Rutgers can throw the ball this year, they will be tougher than last year and we have them on the road.

Toughest games

1) WVU

2) Rutgers

3) AU

4) Cinncinati

5) Louisville

6) Pitt

7) UNC

8) Uconn

9) FAU

10) Cuse

11) Elon

UPDATE AFTER WEEK 4...

Hard Games

WVU - Mountaineers are good, but have shown some vulnerabilities; RayJay to be sold out

Rutgers - Short week, on the road, Ray Rice, and a solid defense

Auburn - Great road trip. Great win. Auburn looking more like paper tigers.

Cincinnati - Very good defense, but the game is at Ray Jay.

Middlin' Games

Louisville - Brohm is good, but where is the defense?

UCF - The Knights beat NC State, push Texas, and obliterate Memphis... looking like a better game.

Not a Problem Games

Pittsburgh - Possible cold weather game, but lost to U Conn at home

Connecticut - Almost lose to Temple, but beat Pitt at Pitt

Syracuse - The Orange might be looking to make a statement, and it's in the Dome, but it's the Orange

UNC - This is how USF should have played against Elon

Virtual Lock Games

FAU - The Owls don't have the talent here

Elon - Glad we had the I-AA game to polish up.

Even after the Syracuse/UL games today... either move UL down or SU up...

i have a feeling UCF will be a really tough game. they're going to be upset that we're stealing any headlines they're trying to create.  ;D
