Guest
In case people are wondering...#9 Va Tech @ #2 LSU on Sep 8#22 TCU @ #4 Texas on Sep 8#1 USC @ #20 Nebraska on Sep 15#17 PSU @ #5 Michigan on Sep 22Hard to see all three road teams winning these games... Nebraska might have the best shot...

Guest
Maybe... The hard part is WVU's soft schedule before playing USF... Michigan and Texas could easily leapfrog WVU... UM plays Oregon, Notre Dame, and Penn State at the Big House... Texas' only real game is against TCU (Rice, Ark St, & @ UCF)... but their schedules are both more difficult than WVU's... Also, the #6 Gators host Tennessee on Sep 15th... and if VT wins big @ LSU or the Gators win big over TN - either of them could leap frog WVU...This is especially true if West Virginia isn't able to easily handle the crowds at Marshall or at Maryland... Beating Oregon, Notre Dame, and Penn State is pretty impressive whatever time of year you do it. WVU doesn't have the glamour games that compare to those three, so you gotta give Michigan credit if they survive that stretch.

I feel our secondary can match up well with their passing game (Booty is a little over hyped). Our linebackers could contain their running game. However, offense is completely different. Their LBs and DL would probably manhandle the o-line all game. Between Ellis, Rivers, and Maualuga, Grothe's would be running around all game. Oh yeah, they also have Lawrence Jackson on the line (that front 7 is SCARY).In all honesty, playing them 10 times, I say we could win 1 (it would have to be flawless).
