Sure, you still get some cops news from college football players once the season starts but nothing like what you see in the summer.

This year's best tale of jurisprudence: South Florida senior defensive end Woody George was arrested for allegedly ripping a parking boot off his car and absconding with it. I say, if a guy's strong enough to pull one of those things off, you have to play him. Think what he could do to a quarterback. Or fans who try to throw stuff at the Bulls when they play at Auburn.

Regardless, our long, national sports impoundment is about to be over. A week from Thursday, the boot comes off and the Woody George in all of us will be set free.
