The field looks awesome !Stadium Under ConstructionAs part of the ongoing campus expansion project, the historic Gordon Field is being relocated and transformed into a brand new, first-ever on-campus stadium. This spectacular facility will host our football and soccer teams, as well as serve the elementary and secondary PE programs.Stadium features include:• The first stadium in the county to feature artificial turf – the same turf being used by 21 NFL teams.• New pro-style goal posts• High intensity lighting• Grandstands featuring ¼ of the seating capacity in comfortable chairback seating• Large, wireless pressbox• Reception Center featuring ticket sales office, multi-window concession stand and restrooms• Large fan plaza, serving as a social hub between the reception center and grandstands• Multi-sport digital scoreboard with messaging centerThe fan plaza will be a central gathering place for fans. It will be the hub connecting the grandstands to the reception center. People will gather there to chat, enjoy their concession food and cheer on the Vikings. This fan plaza will be even more exciting because of the commemorative pavers that will fill the surface of the plaza, honoring LCS family and friends for years to come. These pavers will honor students, teachers, parents, grandparents, alumni, alumni parents, friends and other special folks. As the summer nears an end and the school year is not far off, the turf and grandstands are being completed. Various tradesmen continue work on the concession stand/ticket office as we prepare for the August 31 home opener.
