It would be nice to get him, but we'll have to wait and see.

Alabama coach Nick Saban is close to signing his contract worth $30 million for eight years. Tide defensive line signee Luther Davis has qualified. Freshman defensive tackle signee Alex Watkins (6-5, 225) has already enrolled at Alabama and is expected to get an early chance to play. He was rated the No. 3 player in the state of Tennessee last year. Running back signee Jamar Taylor, who is from Lakeland, Fla., is not leaving Tuscaloosa according to his mother as rumored earlier this week. Courtney Upshaw (6-3, 230), a defensive end from Eufaula, Ala., has committed to Alabama. Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Louisville and South Carolina are among the schools who have offered him. He has 96 tackles and 12 sacks last season.

I thought this was a done deal?  If so, then I think this article is old and Jamar's "quote" is not valid at this point.

Don't rely on that. The weekly article is dated June 8. Sometimes it takes the lawyers awhile to agree on the exact language for a contract and have it signed. When Leavitt agreed to his deal it was months before the he actually signed.

Get a lawyer involved and you can guarantee it's going to take a long time, after all they have to earn their $$$$.  LOL

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
