I dont think I have seen a straight answer to this question: Why was Stan Heath fired? Was it soley because your AD thought he was going to get Gillespie? I know our expectations are lower, but the man had won 20 games and NCAA tournaments back to back. It really doesnt matter, we have him now, I'm thrilled, there was no other coach out there that can generate the excitment he will. But just wondering what y'all thought. And thanks for the kind words about him.

Heath's record at the school was 82-71, but he went 31-49 in Southeastern Conference play.7-33 for league games on the road.

BG had been talking to arkansas for about 6 weeks. Everybody thought it was a done deal.

Arkansas can't put up more money but I would doubt aTm would pay more $$$ for a basketball coach then a football coach.

Their AD is Frank broyles.  He is retiring at the end of the year anyway.

I Think the surprising UK opening threw a monkey wrench into Billy G going to the Razorbacks.  Billy G is waiting on Billy D to accept or turn down the UK job before making a decision on staying at Texas A.M.
