Very nice... maybe we can get rid of the "white" background.

yeah, that too. black backgrounds read a lot better.

Here are the instructions for creating the custom cursor:

FYI, doesn't work in FireFox

do you get the normal icons? or does something look screwy?

as long as there are no adverse affects in firefox, then we can keep it

anyone who is still seeing the iconinc u cursor with the semi transparent black background is seeing the old version.

Try clearing your cached files

Tools >> internet options >> delete files

you should see a hand with the pinky and fore finger raised like bull horns, and it has a transparent background.  It is the same one as the linkin park site right now.

we'll figure out the iconic u eventually.

When I logged on this morning the Bull hand was there.  I guess I had to reboot my laptop in order to get it.  But I love it.

Why anyone would like Linkin Park or this silly cursor deal is beyond me.

Update: the hand is a step in the right direction, but I still don't understand why anyone would like Linkin Park.

It uses an IE extension to HTML, so it will not work in Firefox or any other browser that is not IE.

Strike that.

It is part of the latest Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) specification.  See here for some technical explanation on how to set the cursor in CSS

Firefox is ignoring cursors loaded from a URL.

No biggie in Firefox; it just ignores it.

Strike that as well.  This is a bug in Firefox, so I am going to search their Bugzilla defect list and report this to the Mozilla team if it not a known defect in Firefox.

How about you Mac-heads who use Safari?

What about the Opera users?
