Not a big loss imo. I really hope Woolard atleast makes a phone call to UNCC about Lutz.

Dude..

NO GOOD CURRENT HEAD COACH IS GOING TO RISK THIER JOB FOR A CHANCE TO COACH USF.

Woolard has to see this.

Who on gods earth is going to leave their job to come to a school that has had 4 or 5 coaches either fired or run out of town -- in addition has won 10 conference games in 4 years and hasn't made the NCAA tourny in 16 years?

nobody worth a grain of salt.

He is going to have to hire someone who doesn't hae a job and has nothing to lose.

I think some of our fans are starting to realize that USF basketball in the big East as it stands right now is an uphill job with our current support both in facilities, money and attendance.

So comming and taking this job is a high risk for many succesful midmajor coaches which have a beter hot to continue to win and wait for a better opportunity.

Joe bulls, you were the one that kept saying about how great a job it is, and made it seem easy to win here for the last two years. Now, you agree with Dicky V that its the toughest job in America. And most coaches get fired, or "run out of town" I'm not sure how else you change coaches, the Dean Smith coach 30 years retire as a hero model isnt common.

I'm starting to think that as well.  We will probably have to get someone who is looking to get back into coaching and make a name for himself.  I think Marshall and Pelphry are waiting on bigger opportunities and you can't blame them for that.  It's all about building a resume and right now USF could be a killer for a young up and coming coach who has had early success.  That's just the truth.

He is going to have to hire someone who doesn't hae a job and has nothing to lose.

I do think its a GREAT job..

I think the next guy hired is going to win here and I would be willing to put a nice wager on it.

I think USF hasn't really had a good coach in a long long time.

Mark my word, no matter who is hired, the guy is going to win next year.

But - I do understand why Marshall doesn't want the job.

The big MISTAKE was not hiring him 4 years ago when he wanted it.

It is going to take a long time to get over how bad of a hire RMC was.

it was a terrible hire by any objective stand point.

Pelphrey might be holding his breath in the slim chance that Donovan runs to UK. He might be a top candidate for the UF job.

Pelphrey is going to be a great coach, I just wish it was here.
