"former USF defensive coordinator Rick Kravitz will be announced Thursday as the defensive coordinator at Memphis, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal. Kravitz left the Bulls to coach at N.C. State, but lost his job there after one season when Chuck Amato and his staff were fired. "

According to Greg...

Well, so much for moving because of the wife and her job in the research triangle area (here in NC).

It's a good position and can lead to a head coaching job.

Do you just expect him to stay unemployed?

Memphis and Charlotte are easy to travel between.

alot closer than Tampa and Charlotte

Poor Gnats.  They will have to deal with a Kravitz led defense again.   ;D ;)

Lets not be ignorant, it probably was never about the wife's "job" as much it was the opportunity to try and get noticed for a head coaching job somewhere.

Regardless it's still a 10+ hour drive.

I wish him luck.

Except that it's not.

Not being ignorant (if you meant me)... but he shouldn't have said it's because of his wife's job.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
