Pitt has had a tough few years but dont forget that they are the top program in the Big East. USF, RU and LU are on the rise.

This isn't 1976.  You're sorely mistaken.  How many BE titles does Pitt have in the last 10-15 years?  One, off an 8-4 season tiebreaker?

And recruiting doesn't mean ANYTHING after a certain ranking.  What's the difference between #25 class and #40 class?  Maybe one 4 star recruit.  BS.

If you're not in contention for a top 10 or so class, don't even worry about it, it's meaningless then.  USF is getting there.  Be patient.

We will get "the star" type of talent eventually... but it takes time.

We are getting talent that plays every bit as good as a 4 or 5 star right now, only they are rated 3 stars and get developed by great coaching.  THat is much more important to us at this juncture.  If we win a big east championship or two... you'll see the more touted recruits come here... and then Leavitt will make them 6 star athletes :)

it didnt seem to take Rutgers too long.. they signed anthony davis, probably one of the best OT's in the nation.

You do realize that Rutgers has been in the BE for 15 years and us 1, don't you?

It is when the 2 teams above you are ranked in the top 20 at least, and we could start the season ranked or very close to it.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
