I'd take any of our 2-3 star rated Floridians over any of their 4-5 star kids from Pennsyl-tucky any day.

Recruiting rankings are absolute garbage.

High school football in this state and Texas are head and shoulders above the other 48 in every category.

Pitt has had a tough few years but dont forget that they are the top program in the Big East.

Please put your bong down before posting.

All these people talking about how we need to compete with WVU, Louisville and Rutgers. Everyone needs to take a look at Pitt. They have by far the best class in the Big East, and I would think it ranks right up there nation wide.

We will get "the star" type of talent eventually... but it takes time.

We are getting talent that plays every bit as good as a 4 or 5 star right now, only they are rated 3 stars and get developed by great coaching.  THat is much more important to us at this juncture.  If we win a big east championship or two... you'll see the more touted recruits come here... and then Leavitt will make them 6 star athletes :)

I beg to differ, Pennsylvania teams/talent is pretty **** good. My high school found out the hard way my junior year...

1. Florida

2. Texas

3. California

4. Pennsylvania

5. Ohio

As for recruiting rankings being garbage, I agree to an extent. The top 150 are the obvious guys and are usually pretty correct. However, it is a crapshoot outside of that and just too hard to rate correctly.

USF just needs to keep on doing what they have been doing and the days will come where the class has more and more top level talent similar to Ford. This is a very good class, and I am not the least bit worried about the future of the program.

I think to a degree, some top "established" programs don't "recruit" ... they "choose".

USF obviously has done a great job of recruiting and coaching to get where we are today in the 10 years from nothing.
