What's with them being so quiet? I realize that not everyone wants to cheer and stand the whole time... but a lot of them didn't even stand up for HUGE shots or big plays. I've noticed this in every game I've been to as well (even witnessing a girl reading Harry Potter). Anyone else noticed this?

or how about the section right behind the backboard (not the one with SBC and HoT). They hardly move.

Mentioned this same thing to Reuben.

You could sense the nervousness in the crowd.  This "oh my god, i hope they don't blow this thing."

In the first half especially.

It was like everyone was just sitting there going "when are they going to fall apart."

Then Notre Dame went up two and we made a quick run back to the lead and everyone got into it.

Great game.

Section C-1 is where I believed they had the football recruits sitting. They seemed to be observing everything from the crowd to the game when I did look over there.

Well after the Marquette let down of course everyone would be nervous until a 30 pt. lead.  Only a 5 possession game is safe w/1:00 left just like a 28 pt lead in the 4th qtr in football is 99.9% safe except this yr's Lakeland HS state c'ship.

wonder if this 'atmosphere' impressed any of the football recruits to commit,

worked out ok, we had them all there because of a tragedy in our usf family

In years past, we hosted USF football recruits to the basketball game only to see USF get blown out. It was embarrassing to watch all the fans and football recruits basically walk out of the SUNDOME right after halftime. This year, everyone stayed and watched USF pull off a great win. This cant hurt recruiting because the fans were into this game, and kids love seeing these types of college atmospheres.
