Very well regarded LB/DE. Offered by some of the big boys and is in for his official visit at USF this weekend.

3-star on both services.Go to Rivals  and check out his  vids. He will  make  you happy  if  we  land  him.

How seriously will three-star defensive end Patrick Grant consider South Florida? The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Lauderdale Lakes Boyd Anderson star turned down a trip to national runner up Ohio State in order to see the Bulls up close this weekend and has USF among his top three schools . . .

Very good player none the less.. But if thats what he told rivals, he lied... OSU was taking a look at him after there top DE prospect (ben martin, Tee martin's nephew) decided to go to tennesee....  He was actually supposed to visit last weekend, but osu decided they should bank the schollarship for next yr.. he was never offered a scholly, and right before his visit which would have been last week they told him they were not interested anymore... Also he wouldnt get thru admissions at osu..

Again, very good player none the less.. Actually i doubt he will qualify anyway... I think nebraska took away his scholly and gave it to someone else since they didnt think he would qualify...

If we have to take chances on academics, I am glad we are doing so with Florida kids. It helps with relations with HS coaches that USF is willing to take a chance.

Rivals says he has narrowed his choices to either Iowa or USF.

The teaser article:

Grant says it'll be USF or Iowa on Signing Day

Coming into his official visit to USF this weekend, three-star defensive end Patrick Grant had his list of favorites narrowed down to three schools – the Bulls, Louisville and Iowa. After a visit that Grant described as, “A good trip, a very good trip,†that list is now down to two.
