yea...saying orlando and gainsville are right next door is one of the funniest excuses ive heard to date for the UCF football program and ive heard plenty.

by the way....

gainsville to orlando is 114.5 miles.

gainsville to tampa is 134 miles.

i dont think that distance for either program has any affect on a recruit's choice to go to UF.  something tells me there are a few other factors in play.
