Now that softball is over and baseball screwed themselves out of an NCAA tourney bid as well as a CUSA bid, it's time to lay low as any and all Bulls sports are on summer break. Here's to football getting us on the right track next year...

My wishes for next year in this order:

I land a great job in Arizona and find a bombshell to bat that allows me to donate money back to my beloved Bulls!

Bowl win for football team preferably in Hawaii and I make five games

Top QB recruit signs next season

Men's Basketball wins more than one game in the Big East

Softball gets a stud pitcher to duplicate Leah Ann Ellis's success

Baseball qualifies for CUSA tourney (babysteps)

Women's hoops recruiting classes finally live up to their billing

Men's soccer reaches final four (we are ever so closer in this sport!)

Jimmy Baxter qualifies for Olympic high jump and gives USF mad props!

Virginia Tech makes ACC tourney proving Seth wasn't as bad a coach as everyone thinks (Seth is my dog!)

Scott McCready, DRube, HUUUUUUUUgh Smith and Quell get a legit shot in the NFL

Men's Basketball wins more than one game in the Big East

Terry, hate to rain on your parade already but I have to guarantee you we will not win a single game in the Big East next year.....the good news is we won't lose a single game in the Big East either. Maybe the season after next when we officially join it will be a different story.

In the Ross Gellar voice tones, "Could it BE anymore slow for USF sports right now"?

One college football point of interest today. Maurice Clarett got banned from joining the NFL. Even though he is going to appeal (again) - it doesn't seem like he will be in the NFL this year. He would have been better off apologizing to the team & fans, and staying with the Buckeyes. Possible Heisman trophy, and a much better draft pick. A better thing couldn't have happened to a more self-serving person.

Maybe some good will come out of this and more players will stay in college.
