We are heading to the Florida Winter Classic this weekend in Gainesville for one of the biggest tournaments in the southeast this year. This will give us a good chance to see how we stack up against some of the best teams in the eastern United States. There are 46 teams planning to compete this weekend, including national powers Florida, Georgia, and Texas, and in-state rivals FSU, UCF, and Miami*. We are looking to build off of our first ever tournament victory, and gain national attention and respect**. SCALLY….. *to see a full list of teams visit this site UPA Link ** this is important in getting invitations to highly competitive tournaments

We are not a sanctioned sport by the NCAA, therefore we do not have an athletic department connection. We are a club sport receiving money from SG, much like the IceBulls, USF Lacrosse, and USF Rugby. We fall under the jurisdiction of the Ultimate Players Association (UPA). I've seen "experts" fight over both ways... There's no wrong way to throw a disc. This is a forehand throw (aka flick): This is a backhand throw (aka huck): There's also push passes, thumbers, hammers, and chickenwings. But flick and backhand are the basic two.
