I have a question, miamisportsfan83: How many wins do you honestly expect USF to have in conference at this point?

They currently have 2, winning the only 2 games in which they were favored, correct? Having played #14 UCONN, #10 Pitt, #20 Notre Dame, and West Virginia, all on the road. The home games were Louisville, Cincy, and Rutgers.

Whether or not they should be or shouldnt be a better team in McCullum's 4th year isnt the issue. Looking at THIS YEAR's team as its own entity, how can you look at that schedule and with any fairness expect anything better than 2 or 3 wins at this point?

Let's compare our 2-5 record to another Big East team, Syracuse who is 4-2. Syracuse's conference wins include: Marquette, 'Nova, Cincy(by 1), and Rutgers. Losses are Pitt and St Johns. How would you compare Syracuse to USF this year? I mean, obviously they are twice as good, they have double our wins!

Well since you posted who we have beaten lets look at who we have lost to"

Pitt 18-3

Louisville 14-6

Notre Dame 16-4

West Virginia 15-4

UConn 13-6

Misso St 14-7

UNLV 17-4

TAMU 14-4

UAB 10-9

Richmond 5-14

Out of those the only bad team is Richmond, UAB has beaten USF,Cincy and Depaul so they while not having a great record are not that bad. So overall we have beaten those we should and lost to those that are better. Thats where the Bulls stand right now

LOL So its ok for you to post the records of those we have beaten and not ok to show that the teams that beat us are doing **** good except for two?

The fact are that those teams are MORE talented that what USF has to offer right now

You didnt know that? Losing is ok as long as its to good teams. So is losing by 20+ night in and night out.

I understand the BE is tough, but if its too tough for CRM to figure out than maybe the next guy will do a better job.

Losing is NOT ok. But if you are going to come on and post about how crappy the teams we have beaten are, then we should at least point out how well those we have lost to are.

I WANT USF basketball to be great, BUT the facts are that our talent is BELOW those teams we have lost to.

So since the tiltle was basketball FACTS, I thought i would add some of those FACTS.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
