So young with a bright future ahead of him.  It is so sad.

To the USF family and to Keeley's family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.  What else can I say?

You will be miwsed Keeley.

10 days older than my little brother. He was taken far too young.

As a mother of a teenager, this just breaks my heart.

My prayers go to his family and his fellow USF Bulls.

RIP Keeley

The USF Community is Deeply Saddened by the Death of One of Our Students. Counseling is Available at (813) 974-2628.

A student athlete who was a member of the USF Bulls football team, Keeley Dorsey, passed away this afternoon at University Community Hospital. Dorsey, 19, a freshman running back from Tallahassee, passed out following a routine team-conditioning workout at the Athletic Facility.

“The USF community is extremely shocked and saddened by the death of one of our student athletes on campus today,†said USF President Judy Genshaft. “There is nothing more tragic than the loss of one of our students, and our thoughts and prayers go out to Keeley’s family, friends and fellow athletes and students.â€Â

Dorsey was immediately given first aid on site. He was transported to University Community Hospital. A short time later, USF officials were notified of Dorsey’s death.

USF is actively providing counseling and support to the university community.

Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
