he needs some Captin Morgan. found this on boneyardbanter. I cant respond b/c i was banned.

Perhaps they will grow out of it and their almost instant rise into

Div I football and admittance seeminlgy overnight into a BCS

Conference may account for their attitudes....BUT.....I'm really not

at all excited about the Big East anymore nor envious for us to join

that conference.

I still can't get over their behavior at the game. Also, I realize

that I have had more exposure, living in Tampa as I do, than the

average ECU fan has. Trust me on this when I say what you saw in

Bham from those fans parading around the atadium really is more

common than you think regarding USF's attitude.

Their attitude and display of poor sportsmanship hurts the Big East.

I really have much less desire to have ECU join the Big East. Prior

to this experience I would have gladly welcome joining the Big East

and had USF envy. After this bowl game I'm of the opinion that the

Big East can have USF and everything USF brings with it.

I no longer covet what USF has. At ECU we have a history, tradition,

great fans, and except for an occasional prodigal son well behaved

fans.

If what it takes to join the Big East is USF type of program complete

with their fan base then give me good ole ECU any day. I'd rather be

going to minor bowls and having moral victories over BCS opponents

than be part of the Big East if it means being identified with USF.

The Big East lost a great deal of luster with me when they chose Cinn

and USF over us and when I see what they chose in USF over what ECU

could bring to that oonference I have lost complete respect for that

conference.

The Big East could have chosen a program committed to excellence. It

could have chosen a program that the fan base respects the hard work,

dedication, sacrifice that it takes to run a good solid program. The

Big East could have chosen a program that graduates it's athletes.

The Big East could have chosen a program that has earned it's way

into Div I and therefore respects the game. It could have chosen a

program where the fans support their school through adversity.

Instead, the Big East chose a program with no tradition. a program

that hasn't earned anything, a program selected for it's location

rather than history, a program whose fans (many, not all) who are

arrogant, unappreciative, and who will abandon their program at the

first sign of problems or a struggle.

In the long run ECU will continue to move forward. Programs like USF

will crumble because they have not been built upon adversity.

We will prevail because we recruit and retain players, fans, and

coaches with integrity and strength of character.

I'd rather be an ECU fan who supports a team that goes 2 and 7 or 7

and 5 and goes to a mid major bowl than be a fan of USF with a

legitimate shot at a BCS bowl.

One day we will have our shot and we will have earned it! We deserve

better than we are getting out of the Big East or the ACC but we can

be proud because we earn every bit of respect that grudingly comes

our way.

WE ARE THE PIRATES OF ECU.

Our butthead fans who act like adolesents who just found their family jewels do no service to the program.  They may be a minority, but it is exactly this type of behavior that gets noticed -- not the mature, enthusiastic fan.

The pictures I saw on another thread and the behavior described by others is embarassing.  It has to stop.  What I condemned in UCF's behavior in Tampa is now being exhibited by some of our fans.

I realize that this ECU fan is biased and still stinging from the defeat, but I am basing my anger on information from many other posts from our fans and ECU fans.  It is time to get it together.  Obnoxious behavior is not how you thank the players, coach, AD, and president of the university for investing in this program.

Wow, he still seems so jealous.  He is trying so hard to pretend like ECU doesn't want part of the BE.  He was probably crying as he wrote this.  I kind of feel bad for the loser.

I had a 60 year old grandma in purple shoot me the bird when I said nothing to her.  Then people around me starting chanting and she yelled "real classy" from the lady who just shot me a bird.

I met a ton of nice ECU fans and USF fans.  I also encountered my fair share of bad ones.  I can be called guilty of being classless b/c after a ECU fan called me a "faggot" while chanting USF with a big group in front of Daves I yelled back "coming from the guy in purple."  Funny at the time but maybe not the correct thing to say.

I hope that it gets better next year b/c if you ask any NC State fan they will tell us we are great fans.

Yep......those comments are just dripping with jealousy.

"I don't want my team to be in the Big East because of a few USF fans."

::)

That is the stupidest thing I've heard in a while.
