Attendance at bowl game?

Recommended Posts

I think it was about even. We filled one side of the stadium, from the back of the endzone to their 30ish yd line. While ECU had from the 30 to their corner of the endzone, and the 14 people that were seated on the other side of the stadium was about 80% ECU, it seemed.

Either way, a LOT more than than I expected.

USF only went to the 50 yard line... ECU started at the 50 and went to the corner... and they were packed in there as well... they also had about half or more of a full section on the opposite side of the field.

I would say USF had 5500 and ECU had 7000...

Maybe this will help.

This is what I saw from my seat in row 61:

I think on our side of the stadium it was about even, but ECU appeared to have quite a few more folk on the opposite side of the stadium.

41,000+change tickets distributed says Birmingham's morning news (yes, I'm still here) and 32,023 in-house at Legion Field. They had a tad bit more than us, but you would never have known that from being at the game...I heard little girls (no offense) scream louder than their entire fan base at the game.

ECU out drew us by a few thousand at least...and had a pretty good number of people on the opposite side of the field as well...but that being said, our turnout was pretty good. I'd call it a success.

I agree they had more on the main side and across the stadium they had a bunch of fans while we had 5 or 6 holding the old goat flag

Our play on the field took their crowd and band out of the game early
