MB's freshman year was a lot of what he could do with his legs. MB was never a stellar passer in my books, but the playbook was shaped around his throwing abilities and he made good decisions - hence very few interceptions. MB did not throw a good deep ball, but he controlled the offense well and was a terrific leader. If we can say that about MG a few years from now, we'll all be extremely happy Bulls. Edge to MG. MB was playing a 1AA level of competition. The talent AND competition are light years ahead of what they were in MBs first year.

He really got us started on the right path.

The increase of talent levels off what the competition gives for the most part.He can make more things happen on the field also.GrothE has way more Total Offense (Passing & Rushing), GrothE is possibly gonna be 1st All-Time for a season ... Blackwell 3,123 (2001)Blackwell 2,892 (2002)Blackwell 2,582 (2000)GrothE 2,557 (2006)Barnhardt 2.275 (1997)Go BULLS !!!
