Another plus to the Texas Bowl--they seem to have their stuff together moreso than B'ham. They already have a full website and listing of various events--which sound pretty appealing--vs. the storefront-only over at BirminghamBowl.com.

This would be an awesome game!  

I think the airfare is cheaper than flying to the Birmingham bowl.

I think, and don't hold me to this, the contract with the Texas Bowl has us going in 2007, 2009 and C-USA going in 2008, 2010...if the Big 12 or BE/C-USA cannot fill their spot a MWC team will take it.

I will be in Houston over the holidays so I really hope the Texas Bowl comes calling.  Reliant is a really nice place to watch a game too.  I saw Texas and Rice play out there a few years ago.
