As we get into the meat of the BE schedule, there is sure a lot prove for this team.

One thing about this game.  I know the team and a lot of players had the UCONN game circled as a "revenge" game. I wouldn't say that  this is a revenge game, but I do know that the coaches were more pissed off after the Pitt game last year than after any other game all last year.

Last year we got outcoached after a tremendous 1st quarter.  After they adjusted both their defense and offense and because of a couple of self inflicted wounds and a couple of missed opportunites it was a hard fought game.

I think the coaches have to have this team prepared for a game at least as tough as the the Cincinnati game and they need to not make any boneheaded decisions.

I am confident the defense gameplans accordingly and keeps the game close.  The two things that scare me in this game is Rod Smith and in a close game, the kicking game.

I think this is a game that if we can win it, is a big corner for us to turn.  With a victory and a win next week against Syracuse to lock up a bowl berth, it sets the table for national exposure and respect next year.

HOW CAN THERE BE MORE TALK BEFORE MCNEESE ST THAN PITTSBURGH??????????????????????

First game of season versus scary game of season.  I think had we beaten cincy, this board would be alive with stomping Pitt and SU and how the BE better watch out for us.  However, since we did not, people are a little worried about the rest of the schedule and don't want to come on here and bad mouth the team before a huge game.  Just my take.

Hopefully Alvarado will alleviate those fears.  As for Rod Smith, I can't help you there.
