It took four missed field goals, a missed extra point and two losses by six points or less, but USF coach Jim Leavitt finally pulled sophomore kicker Mike Benzer.

Also not in the article but in the Oracle. Trae Williams returned a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown when he played Alvarado in H/S.

Bronson got a raw deal... it bit Jim is the ass... seven games into the season, a new kicker is finally named. Bronson may not be consistent in Texas right now (not really sure), but he did get the job done at USF. We do not lose to Rutgers if that kick is made. I'm calling it like I see it. Bronson's mom had a legitimate gripe... Her son performed... put his ass on a schollie. I have $36,000 still to pay in school loans... my final grades were average... 3.40 GPA. A schollie would have been nice.

i am thankful that i graduated with zero debt.  bright futures and pell grants go a long way.  plus i worked full time thru school.  so i did miss out on a lot of the "student" stuff
