9. The Tampa Police Department are a bunch of idiots.  With less than 3 minutes left, one of Shoop's boys was standing in his seat in the front row - facing backwards and leaning against the wall.  Not hurting anyone. Not endangering anyone, including himself.  Standing and talking.  Along came TWO TPD officers to escort him out of the stadium.  No warning.  Just "come with us, we're kicking you out."  When the rest of the party started asking why, the cops told them "Take your seat."  Someone too dumb to get into college feels like a big man now!!

I am the LAST person that will ever get thrown out of a stadium, trust me. I respect the police and am usually the one who's settling down the rowdy ones. That being said, the situation you bring up was ridiculous.

The woman cop had her eye on us the WHOLE game. Even coming up to me, while I was eating my peanuts, and telling me that if ONE shell goes over the wall, I'm going to jail. I looked down, and saw ONE shell on the field, and my words to her were as follows: "Ok, and when you see me throw ONE shell onto the field, you let me know. I got 100 of em right here....AT-MY-FEET. Thanks."

She threw the big guy (Chris) out becuase he was sitting on the rail. Nevermind that the ENTIRE game, we lean over, bang on the wall, and all that kind of stuff. Chris then moved off the actual railing, and onto the wall. Apparently that is now illegal was well.

AND TO MAKE THINGS WORSE....

Steve, the guy sitting on the aisle, had to move to get out of the way of the cops. In doing so, he pressed his back agaisnt the wall, essentially doing was Chris was doing - leaning against the wall, back to the field - and they told Steve that he was next if he didnt move.

WTF!?!?!!!!

You know it's funny, when our normal cop, I believe his name is Cleveland, came over we had nothing but love for him and he shook all of our hands. Amazing what can happen when you show respect, you get it back.

I would rather have mall securtity work the USF games then these bunch of yahoos. If they find watching a college football game that awfull then they should request not to work that detail, but most of these guys just have a miserable time working it and they take it out on the fans.

I was kicked out within 5 min. of the game starting for standing and cheering while we were on defense. Nothing more then that, I sit with my Dad a retired police officer, my mother a school teacher and my girlfriend. Its not like we are a group of people that don't respect authority or are overly roudey.

in the student section, front row, we tried holding people up so they could do push ups, and the cop on the field was like, "you do that one more time, and i will have you arrested."  unbelievable, its ok, to do push-ups in the stands at other schools, but not here. [...]

i'm usually not one to complain because i know how students can act...( i was one 2 years ago)

however, i hope someone presses charges against this one specific cop tonight.  it was section 243 i think.  the cops were out of control tonight.  ok...yea there was probably a fight and a few kids acting stupid...but they threw one kid up against the glass and while his neck was against the glass 2 cops jumped on his back.  i am suprised the kid didnt have a broken neck.  and then after that....any student that yelled at the cops for their misbehavior was grabbed and drug out of the game.  i wish i had a camera for it.  i hope one of those kids has a high powered parent with a good lawyer.

like i said...i know how students can act...and i have witnessed about 3 fights at EVERY game so far....but tonight the cops went too far.  there was a real fat cop that looked like he was about 20 years old...i dont know his name, but i know a few students got his badge number.  he was way out of control.  one student even started asking for business cards from the officer in cahge and he got them.  i think we will all hear in the papers about what happened tonight.

i just hope it doesnt turn out to be "usf students drunk and out of control"  because there was probably a few kids that way but it did not excuse the cops from acting the way they did.

i think charges do need to be filed against atleast 3 cops.  if any of the kids that got manhandled tonight are the ones reading this...send me a PM.  i will testify.  it was bad.  i understand throwing the kids who were fighting out but no need to throw the one kid against the glass for just yelling and then after he is contained no need for 2 cops to jump on his back when his neck is against the stadium glass wall.

This is a major issue that must be addressed by the all aspects of the University and law enforcement. I feel most of this stems from the USF-Louisville game last year. Law enforcement has shown little trust in the USF fan base, perticularly the students, which I feel has lead to a lack of respect for the law enforcment officials. The issue is about respect and trust. It's a two way street. I fear this might escalate as USF gets better and better and bigger games come to town.

This is crazy. I only say one guy "escorted" out tonight by 3-4 officers within the first 10 minutes of the game. I have no idea what he did so maybe he deserved it. But the police have been out in force for the games. I don't know what is going to happen when we are whipping up on Pitt and 'cuse.  ;D
