We were very poor with our pass coverage.  It looked like the CB's and LB's didn't know what each other were doing.

ive been talking about the poor job in coverage for a while, our safeties and corners are out of position way way too much.  The safetys dont know how to stay over the top and the corners get beat far too often.  If the pass defense doesnt get better fast we could be in for a long season.  The better the QB's we face get the worse things will get.  If moffit was more accurate last week we would have lost by 2 maybe even 3 scores.  The corners need to step up as they are supposed to be one of our strengths, the safetys (especially verpeal) need to do a 180 as far as quality of play.  If we defend the pass like this when we go to UL we will get by ATLEAST 30 pts.  The good thing about this is the season is still early and we have alot of time to fix things and maybe even in some cases changer personel.

To me It seemed that their quarterback had too much time to throw. I didn't see any blitzing

This is also a huge part of the problem.  We have very good LB's but dont use them to rush the passer enough.  The shorter the time the QB has to survey the field the less time our secondary has to get out of position.  We dont have the d-line we had last year we cant rely on them to generate pressure on their own.

Way too much time to throw.  We got no pressure on the QB at all.  The 3rd down conversions prove that

Mike Jenkins was some where else tonight. His coverage was horrible, and he was beat more time then defend. His idea of pushing rather than tackling took the cake! Poor performance tonight.
