haha!Barroid vs  BALCO!   I can hear the chants now.

I'd say not only all pro sports, but all sports in general.  UNC-Duke is pretty big in college basketball... but not quite the same.

Ohio State and michigan is huge, FSU and UF and many other major college rivals that some could argue but as far as pro sports is there any close to yanks/sox?

those are both big for sure... but they dont' gain the national interest as much as yanks vs sox.  If you are a baseball fan, you automatically have interest in yanks vs sox... football fans MAY care about OSU vs michigan, but frankly, i don't that much.  FSU vs Florida, i do care slightly, but i doubt there is as much interest outside of the south east unless both teams are in the top 5.

Yanks vs Red Sox transcend all sports.

terry francona is not going to manage red sox to anything and the fact that my bull friends don't see it, is troubling

Belive me smazz when I say that I dont think Sox are in same league as Giants, I think Sox are way above that ;)

Joe Torre should have never been hired by yanks if you look at his managerial career before he went there. Now he is one of the greatest managers of all time? Francoa will be fine and wil lead sox to WS this year.
