It was weird because I was in church and I felt this feeling like I was having muscle twitches, and my mom thought the ground was moving, but we thought she was nuts until we saw the news.Just to specify, the epicenter was 250 miles SSW of Apalachicola. I figured out that this is about 230 miles due west of Naples.I did feel that this morning...I was like what the hell? If so, that's pretty amazing. The closest fault lines to us is out in California.I read in the link below that this quake was just the North American plate letting loose a little stress in the middle of the plate. I guess you can say that the plate broke wind...LOLhttp://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060910/us_nm/quake_gulf_dc_4

Guest JulmisteForPrez
Actually, guys, I don't think that was an earthquake (contrary to previous reposrts). From what I understand, it was the collective jumping up and down with glee of every UCF fan when they woke up and read about how badly the Bulls SUCKED last night against a crappy team. That many people jumping up and down is certainly what caused the tremor. The car really moves around in the shaft - bouncing off the sides. Loads of fun for the whole famly!
