grotheee will see  blitz's all year which will giv eusf an opportunity for big plays

slants  AND  other quick strike passes better be in our arsenal

I think that Grothe's understanding of the offense and his ball handling ability will allow us to play well against blitzes.  This is where Smith and the offensive coaches will need help him out by making adjustments.  Smazza is right, we need those quick hitters and slants.  This is where our athletic receivers will have the chance to break open some big, exciting, explosive plays.

also looks like grothe can run the ball pretty well too - that should help agains the blitzing too

Matt did look pretty small on the field, but doesn't mind hanging in there or doesn't look like me minds lowering a shoulder into someone. Looks like he is a lot more moble then Pat

Because of his mobility, I'm thinking that he has the touch and smarts to get free.  I'm sure we have some screen plays that we haven't shown yet, too.
