I don't think some can even fathom the type of salaries NFL teams pay. You think even $150k would do it for a coordinator? The Bucs pay their DC a $1m a year! Doug Williams is like the third in line behind GM Allen, who I can promise in getting somewhere in the neighborhood of a $400-500k a year. But some guys love coaching and are willing to take pay-cuts, and lose some distinction to return to something they love. Particularly if they've made their money early as Doug clearly has.
