We shouldn't set up an annual game with Miami because it's very important we build a "rivalry" with UCF.  ::)

There is a bit of a difference, here.

The UM game is NOT in our control.

The UCF game is.

Thus, "WE" can not set up the game with Miami... but "WE" can set up another 'temporary' series against UCF and see where it goes.

Isn't it funny that despite not controling the set-up, and desiring a series, and rivalry with Miami we don't go mouthing off in the media.  Our administration and coaches have to much respect for that.

I could tell you where that 'temporary' series would go- no where.  You're reading the future in this thread stop dwelling on the past.

It's funny how a coach can talk to the media about setting up games with other in-state schools without sounding like he is whining and begging...

Yeah and actually be complimentary of that school, and schools.  Leavitt was very polite and complimentary about UCF, and very humble and respectful when discussing Miami.  Yet O'Leary almost sounded demeaning, and arrogant and basically said 'who in the hell does USF think they are...'

One thing we all know though, Jim Leavitt has probably already reminded the players with a taped up quotes.  He's holtz in public but behind the scenes he's going to have those boys breathing FIRE!

I think it is important to know that OUR QB went down there and on the first drive threw a pass that hit Amarri Jackson square in the hands in stride where if he caught it we start the game with a TD.  When he dropped it it started a dominoe effect, but as it has been in years past it is far more fun to blame the QB.

And as Bien pointed out... Ponton fumbled... our punt coverage team let them return inside the 10 yard line... not all of our problems were because of PJ (although The Jim did try to sub CD in for one drive)

Basically our team had the jitters for the first quarter then held them to an even match the last three quarters...

Don't forget later in that drive, after PJ had hit two straight passes after Jackson's drop, Peyton let a ball that hit him in the hands go straight through for an INT that was returned to our 7 and set-up their first score.

The next drive pj hit Peyton for a nice pass, Peyton ran around and fumbled the ball trying to do to much, result a TD for them.

Third drive, we were stopped, a sack, and fumble, and Hester returns a punt for them to our 6- result 17-0.

Up to that point PJ had done almost nothing wrong.  In the first half our QB's, PJ and Denson combined, were sacked 4 times, and hurried much more, we had something like 6 penalties, and 3 drops.  After we went behind 17-0 then the wheels came off and the entire offense played like crap.

"You're talking about two of the four teams in the state in BCS conferences, going head to head," Leavitt said. "It's only going to make us better because of the talent we'll be facing."

What does going head to head with Samford and Wofford make you.

See, this is the kind of stupidity that make peoples IQ's drop just from reading it.  Uhh, well turkey if that's the only teams we faced in a year you might have an argument, or a point, or whatever you're trying to prove.  But seeing that we don't even play both in the same season, and each one is a token 1-AA sprinkled in with 11 other 1-A programs in our schedule that I don't believe playing either will degenerate our level of play.

But wow, great thought turkey.  A real insightful thought process.

Makes us like 85% or more of the BCS squads that open with a push over to work the kinks out and get an easy win at home.

Almost all BCS schools schedule crappy games to start the year off

Hell, UT even scheduled UCF (ironically, Texas and Tennesse work for the abbreviation)

College football just isn't one of your strong suits, is it?
