I doubt it.  Not efficiently, and he'd probably ride the pine.

Realistically speaking he's a glorified fullback ala the Bus, or Dayne.  Less foot speed, as good balance.  It just doesn't fit into our system and would be a waste of recruiting energies.

I'm sure your coaches would love to have this kid in the backfield.  I'm not sure if you've forgotten this or not, but your whole offense is based on running the ball.

Ummm... no...

a spread offense is based on speed, not running.

If you have a fast running back, that is just one more asset, but you need to have good receiving and good QB play to be successful.   A good full back is not neccessary.  Problem is that we didn't have either of the two aforementioned things the last couple years, so we had to rely on the running game (thank god for Andre/ricky)

This kid would only be an accent to our team, whereas someone like Hall can be the main course.

First the Bulls would have to find a new OC.

by necessity not by design.   We run a spread offense, and there are other attributes about Bailey that would not make his game very conducive to anything less than a predominantly running power formation squad.  USF coaches new this to be the case even in HS which is why the concentrated harder on landing his backfield mate.

I wonder if Bailey could make a good lb or de?

In any case, if the offense looks like it did last year, there could be some changes.

Personally I am rooting for Smith to surprise me and really turn it on this year, as I feel that our roster (heavy on speed, small quick linemen, and big fast recievers) is perfectly suited for the spread, especially when you factor in the three athletic qbs.
