I recently moved to Iowa and read this in several of the local papers. He'd look awful good in a Bull uniform after his Junior College stint.

Corey Robertson and Kalvin Bailey came to Iowa with accolades, fanfare and expectations.

Their departures came Friday before either could play a down for the Hawkeyes.

The two members of Iowa's highly touted 2005 recruiting class are likely headed to junior colleges this fall, according to a statement released Friday by the Unviersity of Iowa sports information department.

"We wish both players the best, and we will follow their progress in the future," Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said in the release.

Bailey was ranked the nation's top high school fullback by one service coming out of Armwood High School near Tampa, Fla. The 6-foot-0, 245-pounder picked the Hawkeyes over a lengthy list of scholarship offers that included Miami (Fla.), Florida State and Georgia.

E.T. We are really enjoying it but my feelings might change around January / February. We are going to try and make it back for at least one game a year. I've got to get my Bulls and Cuban sandwich fix. :)

Bullit,

If you haven't visited the "Field of Dreams" in Dyersville, IA...GO!!! (Especially in mid-late summer when the corn is very HIGH!)

That place is magical!

Oh...and if you get a chance...check out an Iowa Football game....fans are great...tailgating everywhere (I've been to a few...grandparents use to live just outside of Iowa City).

"If you build it...people will come Ray...people will most definitely come!"

Knight Light, I'll have to check out the Field of Dreams site,  I have been to a couple of Iowa games years ago. You're right about the fans, good people and good food.

The annual bike ride across the state (http://www.ragbrai.org/) sponsered by the Des Moines Register is supposed to be a good time.

Shoud be interesting flying my Bulls flag in this sea of Gold and Black this fall.

I saw Kalvin Bailey play dozens of times in HS, and I said it back when he was being recruited and I'll say it again he would not be a good fit for USF's current offense or the program.  Bailey is a very special talent, a big back that's going to rely on a power offense that sticks to running, and operates with traps and delays.  He would be great in a Power-I, or I-Formation offense that runs, and until USF switches he just wouldn't be good for us.

The stars are nice but the guy has to be conducive to our offense.  A solid fit at Iowa, and it was an excellent choice by him from a pure football and fitting into a system standpoint.
