According to this it appears we'll have to be on their schedule during the time in which they plan on scheduling the neutral site games:

According to the Louisville Sports Report (rivals.com) University of Louisville Athletic Director Tom Jurich has confirmed that the University of Louisville will take on Notre Dame. According to the info, the game will either be played in 2009 or 2010.

As of now no return date has been announced. The Deal is probaly part of the Deal Notre Dame Signed with the Big East Football Schools last year. The deal calls for the irish to play all the football schools by 2012. So far in the agreement ND has scheduled Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and now Louisville.

ND has scheduled Pitt and Rutgers through 2016 That leaves one BE team to get the 3rd game. If Louisville got it in 2009 or 2010 I'm doubting they are looking our way.
