Haha, this kid is an incredible athlete, he will be the number 1 prospect in the country in 2006. It is going to be hard to get him to USF.

There are a couple more FL kids coming out this year that I am more keen on then this head case.

Last year was a down year in FL for RB"s, this year will be different.  There could be 5 kids at RB from FL that are capable to make a national top 100 list.  Noel's also iffy on eligibility, then again maybe Deion Sanders is going to fly him straight to the NFL.

I agree Bien, he's an incredible athlete, but he's been catered to since day one. I don't know about the kids academic standing, but he will be sought after regardless.

Joe,

He's a head case.  Check the internet about his relationship with Deion Sanders, and move to TX.  I've already heard grades may be an issue.

Mike remember these names Chris Rainey, Jamar Taylor (Chris' teammate who I think will be the better collegiate player), Easterling, Armando Allen, Brandon Paul, and a very nice local guy from Brandon- Mike Brown.

Also, Armwood has Smith, another nice back.

Noel will be a hot commodity but many have Rainey, and Allen rated ahead, and to me Jamar Taylor is the perfect big back stud.  Lakeland HS has Rainey the scatback with amazing speed and wiggle, and Jamar Taylor who's a little Fred Taylorish.

good year for RB's.  Besides you never know if we'll get a transfer or two in. ;D

Bien, Eric Smith from Armwood is actually only going to be a Junior.  I was met with Coach Callahan and 3 of his senior prospects today.  He gave me highlight tapes of all of them including Smith, we even sat and watched the tape of Torrey Davis DE.....WOW!!!!

Also, Id be careful when you call Devine a head case when you havent met him.  I know its tough to defend him with all the stories out there, but I dont think "head case" is appropriate.  Does he have a ton of baggage? yes.  But I dont think he's a head case.  He's been through more than probably any of us can imagine, and on top of that he happens to be one of the best football players in the country so people dont always have HIS best interests in mind.  Has he made mistakes? sure, but I dont think you can call him a head case.

I know where your coming from b/c I was one of those people that said he'll never pan out, but if you know him and know his story you'd pull for him.

Transfers are always risky....from what you guys are inferring I assume he must be a blue-chip type talent, otherwise it's not worth it.  They always have some baggage and there is usually more to the story....
