What does everyone here think Student Government can do to help get students out and support the university?

Marketing ideas basicly.  Anything that will draw students to bb games (and football if you must...).

I can't promise that I can implement anything... but I can suggest it!

Replace the useless "University Experience" course with a one-credit course where your grade is based on the # of athletic events you attend.   ;D

You might have been joking... but it's a good idea!  

Well, at least, UE students could be REQUIRED to attend games?  I'll put that into my research of the UE program... as I have to review (and help it out) academic wise.

I was half-kidding, half-serious actually.  I've learned that once you get people to come out, they usually have a good time and come back.

And grade it on a curve, not on a flat requirement of "x" events attended.

I doubt they would require it, but maybe it could be a "field trip" or something...  afterall... its part of college life... and a great way to support the university overall!  ATTEND GAMES!

Everyone here has good ideas...

But what can we do to draw more STUDENTS out to games?  BBall or football... but mainly basketball (it is in season!).

- Make it the "cool" thing to go to.

- Where ladies are, men will follow. Free tickets to all females(non-students, obviously).

- Over advertisement. Dont just tell everyone when the game is, make them hate you for shoving it down their throat.

- Overall, the students really have no excuse. Games are free, and most live a short distance from the stadium.
