Dmince, he's torn an ACL which in basketball land means really bad news. Its going to take a while to get back at full strength with such an injury.

Signed a guy who's torn his ACL 3 times.

you can come back from a torn ACL... many have without problem... just don't rush it.  Marlyn Bryant came back and injured the other one, but it was a freak play unrelated to the original injury.  He was as good as ever when he came back and got healthy for us.

Velcro the history of basketball players comming back from torn ACL's like Howard's and playing at a high level are low.

Penny Hardaway comes to mind. As does Rebecca Lobo...

Guys like Derek Anderson have been able to battle back from it but it took a long time.

I just don't (and hope) they don't go rushing Howard to have him ready for next season.

If he isn't ready, then of course, i wouldn't want him to play... but I'm confident that they will make the right decision, erring on the side of caution... especially after Cann came back too early.

Guest Bull_94

Why are you guys even worried about next year yet? Have you already quit on this year? I hope our players haven't.

10 freaking games left. 2 games out of 10th place. gets us into conference tourney.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
