Take it for what it's worth.  A fromer player was with JL at D. Jeters party at Jacksons over the weekend.

JL said PJ's days at QB are officially over.  He has full beliefe in C4 and said he is going to be special.  He also said Denson is moving to CB and not WR.

It's second hand, so take it what it's worth.

If so, move Pat to tight end.

I'll take it with Full Hope  8) And I BULLieve that C4 will be given as many snaps he's needed. Just better hit the playbook also and know it front to back!

He didn't say anything about the NFL ?  8)

Go BULLS !!!

I like having a SR QB with game experience... that we never have to use.

Yeah but Pat has the tools to play on the next level at tight end. Its a waste of his of athletic ability. Plus he can still take snaps if needed.

I think Pat would make a great TE ... but would he get enough passes at the position at USF - I think not. And would take snaps from the young TE's we have here. Would say do best for team, not a player.

Still think he should try to get a FA deal at this position in the NFL - if he wants to pursue it.

I think its best for the team to have as many Seniors on the field as possible. I think he would do just as good at blocking as our other TE's. Plus having him on the field would provide more senior leadership to an offense that is going to be very young.

Having him as a back up QB would only tempt Rod to yank Carlton at a drop of a hat.

I am not saying Pat would get drafted or even play in the NFL. But he could get a CFL, NFL Europe or Arena gig as a tight end.

PJ would not be a bad TE he has the size and the spead and he would not be reqired to throw the ball

One point that is being overlooked is that PJ has been nothing but a QB in college and highschool.  Aside from route running and pass catching, Blocking requires a hard earned talent at this level.  It isn't something that can be mastered in one spring from someone who hasn't played a position based upon hitting.  I'm not saying he has never given nor received hits, I'm talking about three point stance, firing off the ball, low pad level, using leverage, proper hands, etc.  These are things that offensive and defensive lineman work on for years to be able to play at this level of competition.  Not to say it can't be done, but it is very unlikely.
