if the free throw percentage is 71.4%, do we round down to 71%?  (i guess 68%)

No rounding...the fractional FT % is used...to get 10 points, you would needed to have been within 3 percentage points = 68.4% - 74.4%.

A very interesting contest this time around...

Highlights:

Wild_Wild_West's "if/then" entry.  Wild_Wild_West entered a predictions based on whether or not cheerleaders were present.

I BULLieve my exact condition was "if female  ;D cheerleaders were present."  Don't know if they were since they were in Orlando?  If not, I should get credit for picking St Johns?

I'm sorry, you are not allowed contingencies.  If you were, I'd put:

USF (if we score more than St. John's)  ;D

St. John's (if they score more than us)  ;)

I don't know WWW, were there female cheerleaders there?  I can take this to the high council (me) for a ruling based on your response...

And can anyone confirm whether or not there were female cheerleaders there?  It will help in settling the matter expeditiously as the integrity of the Prediction Contest is in the balance...  <sounded good>.

I don't know as I was unable to attend.  I certainly would have to think the absence of female cheerleaders would have a direct negative impact on the game.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
