How bad was it? Don't mean to hijack the thread but I haven't seen this elsewhere...
BullAdrian Posted January 3, 2006 Group: Member Topic Count: 53 Content Count: 1,291 Reputation: 54 Days Won: 0 Joined: 09/19/2004 Share Posted January 3, 2006 There is very simple reason since you know the last 3 games, USF scored only 2 TDs.RED ZONE PROBLEM!!!- Too many fast DBs in end zone because too many WRs- OC made terrible calls. - not necessary quick snap leaded to false start penalty- Reserve play- PJ threw 10 or 20 seconds hang-time lob.Why can't they send 2 backs and 1 TE and how easy to hit WR with quick slant, in or inside hook route with pass-action to pull LBs to free space up in back end zone? It's difficult to hit inside route with too many fast DBs.USF would be WOOOWWWW if we have good passer.

Also, if NC State gave up a 100 yard rusher, they were 0-5.

We should have continued with the option with Hall and Ponton in the backfield. Julmiste could have taken some of thos runs himself. We don't pass to the TE enough. The one completion to the TE went for good yardage since NC State wasn't expecting it. High percentage pass with good results. It's better than those lob passes that PJ puts too much air under. Guess you didn't have on your Secret Green-Goggled USF Message Board glasses while typing it?There is a HUGE difference between settling - and being negative - this is simple a statement of someone (like me) who doesn't feel all happy happy joy joy or get the warm-fuzzy because the team just showed-up at a bowl game. This team needs serious work before next year. Leavitt needs to figure out what is WRONG with the offense, and fix it. Apparently, from one of his statements in one of the other threads he hasn't been thinking about it much. Well, he needs to start. ****, people. I'm seriously glad you can get a rise out of looking at stats. However, remember the high school chant, "Check out the scoreboard"! All that matters. Period.
