To ESPN, ESPN+ is somewhat important.  We're not talking about the old ESPN Plus that was essentially pay per view.  Back then , yeah we probably had some say in the start time.  Streaming ESPN+ is more like broadcast TV than you might think.  Heck, half of this weeks conference games are on ESPN+ and they're spread out (12p, 2p, and 4p).

12 start time, 2 not great teams and a feel like temp of 92 is a recipe for poor attendance. Any stadium we build has to have more shade. Even the Bucs will have a sparse attendance tomorrow. It’s just too hot not to have a dome or shade covering the stands.

A bigger reason is probably that yesterday was a holiday and there were no classes. Many students take advantage of 3-day weekends to schedule their trips back home. It would be my bet that a higher percentage of students are not on campus this weekend compared to other non-holiday weekends.

I was on campus Thursday night for the basketball game and there were students everywhere. Not saying some didn’t go home, but 2 bad teams and the heat don’t help. All we can do is start winning more consistently and hope to get out of this conference

Yeah, I'm sure many students had Thurday late-afternoon classes and probably didn't leave until Friday morning.

It's funny we used to go to these games back in the day without flinching.  Oh well...
