Actually, there has been advertising... Meineke is advertising here that you can stop in your local Meineke shop to purchase tickets and support the Bulls.

I also heard advertising before the Michigan game.

I live in Seminole...according to Meineke's website there are only 8 shops within 35 miles of me.... the next is 92 miles away in Ocoee...That's in UCF's backyard.

The closest to me is 9.34 miles away...to be honest , I'm very familiar Meineke however I can't for the life of me recall the last time I saw an ad for Meineke.

USF vs Michigan Basketball game! How many people do you think were there that weren't already aware of the bowl game and ticket sales?

The Michigan BB Game tiicket  was advertised many time in the St Pete Times....in fact it was advertised on pages opposite one another in one issue last week, but not a word about BOWL TICKETS.

I believe someone failed Marketing 101.

Guys, lets be honest here.

If you really wanted to go to Charlotte to see the bowl game, you would know where to go. I don't believe any school advertises in a newspaper to get fans to a [glb]bowl [/glb]game unless it is an on campus paper annoucing student tickets are for sale.

I think too many people on here have these lofty expectations that Mr. and Mrs. Smith will be sitting tommorrow morning at their kitchen table reading the paper and WALAW! the Bulls are playing a game 650 Miles from here on Dec 30th. I'll get the tickets you get the hotel and travel accomodations set!

Or they can watch the game on ESPN in the privacy of their own home without any money spent.

The people that travel to bowl games are the hardcore fans, and there are only so many hardcore fans (most are on this message board). If we were concerned about getting people to a HOME game at NOON, how the heck to you expect people to come to Charlotte on a holiday weekend for a team they like, but probably would be fine either way watching the game at home?

I know there are a few of you who did get the casual fan to come with you and that is great, every bit of support counts! But from the university AD perspective, they aren't made of gold right now, and well frankly putting an ad in a paper might get them a few extra ticket requests, but anyone that really wants to go to the game, WILL buy tickets, advertisments are not needed.

boosters I have Eight season Tickets but I am only listed as one on your list of 3,500. I will be donating tickets to organizations in Charlotte as well as students from USF. Your numbers will be at Least  5000. Ever heard of Boosters such as Reaves Steinbrenner, Buddy Johnson etc
