AAU because there is no longer a P5

Agreed no more p5. But what about a power conference in general? P4?

I've been wait until after the PAC12 big12 drama was done with to bump this thread.

Any change of heart by anyone?

I can tell you given the circumstances as they are now I'd much rather be in a power conference than AAU.

AAU.  Did you see that Stanford's endowment is more than $36B (yes Billion) according to their webpage?  That's incredible!  Are they really relying on an athletic conference payout to make ends meet?

Yes they still do if they expect their athletics department to flourish. I believe there are more strings attached to endowments and cannot be used as they please.

I believe under a billion.  $889 million in 2022.

I saw this question earlier. It is a "classic" Mazza inquiry which asks for ja or nein but my answers are somewhat nuisanced or esoteric and I cannot respond in a brief way. Now, with what is going on, the AAU status , ironically, is what gives USF a legitimate chance at getting the PAC 4 to at least listen.

Yes exactly. I’m giving props to USF now as I believe they are more than ready than they have ever been before imo.
