This is Rivals stuff and we got one mention. I want to break these down further, like the % that went to spread offenses. I think the spread hurts us when going after players who want to become pros. I will have more later.

This rivals list from 2003 clearly shows that the highly rated QBs are not sure things.  I like all three verbals that we have now especially Alwan Lee.

usf's qbs are so bad i would have tried to sign any able body qb in each of hte last 5 years

any of the 12 qbs on the prior list is far better than pj and denson

Doesn't matter how highly recruited they are, if we don't have coaches here who can prepare them for BCS type defenses they will not succeed.  Chris Leak here would be progressing about as fast as Carlton Hill.  Put Chill in a Gaytor uni and he is probably a mirror image of Chris leak, but faster and stronger.

beastie and smazz, sad but true. We need to hire some coached on the offensive side of the ball that can help develop a QB once we get him. We should be polishing CHill into a superstar. Who knows if it will happen.

i do agree for the most part....the only thing i disagree is comparing CHill to C Leak...i don't have actual stats, but i believe that Leak broke every state passing record in the books (i think it was NC?)  old quote from paper from his high school days...

"They have two more regular season games and possibly five more playoff games for Leak to challenge the 15,000 career passing mark and an obscene 200-career touchdown passes.

Those are Play Station2 numbers."

and i think he did it....can't compare those passingn stats with Hill, who was more of an elusive runner
