Right!? Haven't theyy been out of tournament for a week+?

Only thing that makes sense is either our #1 guys team is still playing, or our #1 target has his eye on another job.

I feel May is our #1 guy, if he turns us down we hire Odom, Capko, etc.

It doesn't hurt to at least try with May. If he turns us down he turns us down.

Unless your #2 is Capko.

That's true. May seems unlikely, and wonder if other choices will wait around until we are ready.

Joey Knight's biggest scoop ever has been attendance numbers at Ray Jay...

That's because no one else( as far as we know) is really considering him for HC position. We know he will still be around if everything else falls apart. Rumors around Odom though and other jobs besides USF.

Capko might become an interesting option 3-5 years from now after he gets more experience, and after we get out of the dumpster fire that is USF sports right now. USF is a hard job right now. You need someone who is ready day 1

I still have a feeling at the end of the day it might be someone that hasn't been mentioned so far. There are plenty of good mid major coaches that would be decent options. I haven't researched any of these, but look at what UAB and North Texas are doing in NIT tournament right now. Maybe the Princeton coach. I know these are all probably shiny objects right now, but there are probably some good ones that haven't been mentioned yet.

Andy Kennedy from UAB would be a decent option at the very least

Not sure if he would want to make a lateral move within the conference sadly.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
