We booked a room there last night also. I'm still nervous about the price and it being a dump. At least now we won't alone.

Greenzer, do not worry man.  Wyndhams are typically VERY nice hotels... this one won't be a 4 star, but I'm sure it'll be nice.  

By the way, if you sign up for the Wyndham By Request program on their website, they'll have snacks and drinks of your choice in your room when you check in... complimentary, of course!   ;D

We got a room in downtown (also known as Uptown) at the Hampton Inn for $89 on Thursday and $80 on Fri-Sat(2 queen beds).  Also it has free shuttle service anywhere within 5 miles which includes the stadium.  There are at least 6 of us there.  It's within walking distance of everything, including the stadium (about 6-8 blocks).

Lots of Bulls fans will be at this hotel.  It's a 3-star and only 6 miles from downtown off the main thoroughfare.

Just bumping this for people who are still looking for an affordable room.

not sure how you got that deal unless you booked it a while ago. they are now sold out and last night they were $144 per room

Got two rooms at the Sheraton Charlotte Airport Hotel for 79/night government rate.  Supposed to be 4 mi. from the stadium.
