TAMPA - -- When the University of South Florida hosts No. 12 West Virginia on Saturday, the Bulls' offensive line will be back to full strength against No. 12 West Virginia.

John Miller, who injured his elbow early against Connecticut, will start at center, and Thed Watson, who has been nursing a foot injury the past few weeks, will return to his starting left tackle spot. The return of Miller allows Chris Carothers, who took over for Miller at center against the Huskies, to return to his right guard spot.

"[The switching of positions] really hurt us last game," Bulls coach Jim Leavitt said.

CONGRESSIONAL BET: Tampa Bay area congressman Adam Putnam and West Virginia congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito have a friendly wager on Saturday's game. If USF wins, Putnam will receive West Virginia pepperoni rolls; if the Mountaineers win, Capito gets a key lime pie.

TOUGH AT HOME: USF, ranked No. 17 in total defense, hasn't allowed a 100-yard rusher at home all season. In fact, Louisville is the only team to rush for more than 100 yards, gaining 104 in the Bulls' 45-14 win Sept. 24.

In its four home games, USF has given up 269 rushing yards, an average of 67.3 per game.

CAPTAINS NAMED: Miller, RB Andre Hall, DE Terrence Royal and SS Johnnie Jones will serve as captains for Saturday's game.

Gregg Becnel

not having Tedd last game hurt us more than losing MILLER during the game

I said from day one, the one position that would be hard to cover would be the center...John Miller going down eventually is what did us in (and some other things ::)) but we seemed to never get a rythm, and as coach frey usually says, Miller runs the show...but he should be back for this game...
