According to the NCAA, USF had the 7th toughest schedule in college football this season.  Teams we've played or will play (WVU) have a cumulative winning percentage of 62%.  The University of Florida's strength of schedule was ranked 22nd, FSU's 45th and Miami's 57th.  I was suprised to see us ranked so high considering our membership in a weakened Big East conference.

In light of this new information, I wonder if some of us(myself included) aren't being a little to hard on our coaching staff.  I mean it isn't like we played the 89th toughest schedule in college football (UCF).

 What say you fellow Bulls?

100% agree... we've done well with our tough schedule, but there are certainly small areas that could have been better just with some common sense.  I'm fine with getting beat if we just don't play as good as the other team on a day... i dislike the way the UConn game went tremendously... it was handed away, rather than taken away.

We are that high because we played quality teams this year including Penn State, Louisville, Miami, UCF dare I say, and West Va.

I didn't expect us to beat Miami, Penn State, or even Lousiville for that matter. I DID expect us to beat UConn though, that's why I have been hardon the coaching staff after that game.

I'm fairly certain no one is all that displeased with our record to date...but rather we're upset because we gave two winnable games away...and not just winnable on paper either.

(that's not counting the horrendous first quarter at miami or the 10 points we spotted PSU)

I had us going 7-4 this year, and going to the Car Care Bowl.  The teams I had us losing to were Miami, Louisville, Penn State, and Pitt.  I thought West Virginia would struggle finding their offense this year with their top 2 players gone, but they've overachieved in my book.  Still 7-4 could happen if we play good USF football.  I'll even take 6-5 if it gets us to Charlotte.

hard on the coaching staff

did you see the uconn game

did you forget the pitt game(a classic meltdown for the ages)

STATS such as SOS are for teams that don't win

the only stat that matters is won/loss record

We are a little spoiled... We expect to beat these teams like UM and Penn St....   When we lose to teams that don't have the clout that the top tier teams have, we tend to get a little P.O.ed.

LOL, so all that counts is won/lost records, well i remember many on this board including you blasting our schedule makers for scheduling 1AA cream puffs.

If all that matters are win/loss then our 5 out of conference schedule should be

FAMU

FIU

FAU

UCF

Duke
