Ironically, I worked 40+ hours a week while paying to go to college and get my education.   Weird that I could make that happen.  I played college athletics for a short time.

Cool story bro'...but you made my point. They are not getting a free education b/c they work over 40 a week for the education. :)  Also, maybe if you didn't have to pay for college and got NIL money, you probably could have invested those 40+ hours a week into developing into a better athlete rather than busting your a$$ to pay bills. Your collegiate career probably would have lasted longer. IJS.

College football's transfer portal is working ... just look at TCU

Sonny Dykes was able to turn a 5-7 TCU team into a national championship contender on the fly thanks to the transfer portal.

It will always work for the larger programs. We get good talent and it will be bought on the free agent market.

Exactly! I don't see why we can't utilize  transfer portal that has a few thousand players in it. We lost players this year due to a coaching change and PTSD from several losing season. But if utilized correctly, we can have a lot of success with the portal.

Agree going forward a Coach being able to recruit the Portal will be as important as doing well with HS recruiting
